Giving Tuesday and the Power of Change
Here at the New Fashion Initiative (TNFI), we exist to help educate YOU and work together with other organizations to create more accountability and collaboration within fashion.
We create powerful content to stimulate conversations about the fashion industry. We fight for policy change. We believe that we can help create systemic change.
In our first year, TNFI brought hundreds of people together for events, panels, and social media campaigns to learn about fashion’s impact on people and the planet.
- We collaborated with dozens of leading sustainable fashion innovators, community groups, and non-profits including Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Rethink Food NYC, MadeinNY, DonateNYC, GoodStuff and FabScrap.
- We collaborated with top sustainable fashion brands like Eileen Fisher, Zero Maria Cornejo, Mara Hoffman, Studio 189, REI, PACT Organic and many more.
- We hosted a first-of-its-kind interdisciplinary academic workshop about improving sustainable fashion education with Parsons, Bard, Brown University and NYU.
- And we launched the first Sustainable Laundry Week showing how-to videos on having less impactful individual habits.
BUT, we couldn’t have done it without our incredible team and the support of our advisors, donors and social media followers like you!
If you like what we did, please contribute so that we at TNFI can keep bringing people together to change the fashion industry.
Our giving Tuesday Goal: $25,000
Our goal is to raise $25,000 this Giving Tuesday season and we need your help!! All of the money will go directly to The New Fashion Initiative’s programming for new education projects, our policy initiatives and more creative content. Every little bit counts!
As a 501C(3), we rely heavily on the generosity of people like you who are in our community and believe in the power of change. Even a $10 or $20 contribution helps us reach our goals–and helps us grow and reach more people.
